March 25th // 1pm-3pm at The Paper + Craft Pantry // Shibori Indigo Dyeing
Date: March 25th, 2017
Location: The Paper + Craft Pantry (REGISTER FOR THIS CLASS HERE)
You’ve been eyeing all of the gorgeous indigo trending around town and online, and it’s time to learn to make some of your own!
In this hands-on workshop with local maker and blogger Miranda Anderson, you’ll learn all the basics of preparing, folding, and dying natural fabric to create gorgeous Shibori patterns. You’ll then learn how to prepare and set the dye and walk through the process start to finish. The dye magic will happen overnight and you will be able to return the following day (or throughout the next week) to claim your finished piece.
During the 2-hour class, you will create a gorgeous one-of-a-kind linen throw. It will be a perfect design detail to hang on a wall, tossed over a chair, or (with a little cut and sew) turn into a set of pillows or a summer romper. This class is a perfect introduction into working with textile art, and learning alongside local friends! You’ll also have an introduction into the materials, dyes, preparation, and process so that you can experiment more on your own at home!
