Are you craving connection, community, and creativity?
In this hands-on workshop with Miranda, you will learn how to prepare a natural indigo dye vat and some of the science happening in the process. You’ll then learn all the basics of preparing, folding, and dying natural fabric to create gorgeous patterns. The dye magic will happen while you wait and, and you will be able to take home your finished pieces at the end of the workshop!
During the 2.5 hour outdoor workshop, you will learn together with other local women, enjoy a light lunch, and create two one-of-a-kind cotton towels .
This class is a perfect introduction into working with textile art, and learning alongside local friends! You’ll also have an introduction into the materials, dyes, preparation, and process so that you can experiment more on your own at **home.
Attendees may also bring one from home to dye in the prepared indigo vat. Must be all-natural fiber (cotton, hemp, bamboo, silk, wool) Ideas include a tee shirt, pillow case or cover, bandana, scarf, etc.
